where are the logs located for the macos client?

In Applications > Utilities > Console, in the search box in the upper right enter “IPNextension” and you’ll see the Tailscale logs.

The Tailscale Mac app uses a Network Extension to do its work, the logs appear from the network extension.

thanks DGentry. I am trying to determine why tailscale was logged out last night and this morning it was logged in. by logged out i don’t mean connected/disconnected but rather logged in or out of my tailscale account on the macos client

couldn’t find anything historically with log show
log show --style syslog --last 24h| fgrep “IPNextension”
