Location of configuration file showing installed client version

Tailscale version 1.32.3

  • Windows “Microsoft Windows 10/11 Pro”
  • macOS: 12.6.1 Monterey and 12.6.1 Monterey

I need to write a script for Kolide to check both Windows and macOS machines to determine if a tailscale client is installed, and if so which version is installed.

Where is a configuration file I can look for to find if a tailscale client is installed, and if so what version?

I looked a bit on macOS but did not find it.
