Tailscale on QNAP: "No such host"

Hello,

I’m a Tailscale fan who is thrilled that there’s now an official QNAP app! I just installed it, and when I open it I see this:

Get “https://vaulty.local:44301/cgi-bin/authLogin.cgi?sid=9l6oqg14”: dial tcp: lookup vaulty.local on 127.0.1.1:53: no such host

Notes:

  • I’ve rebooted but the error persists.
  • When I manually go to that URL I get this XML back:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

I am getting the same error: Get “http://ss-qnap.local:8080/cgi-bin/authLogin.cgi?sid=hhmt6puv”: dial tcp: lookup ss-qnap.local on 127.0.1.1:53: no such host

Anybody found the solution to this? I have Intel Celeron based QNAP.

I have finally found the solution to this problem on this page:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Tailscale/comments/p1lawn/qnap_how_to_set_up_a_static_route_and_set_your/

in the last step use this command: ./tailscale -socket /tmp/tailscale/tailscaled.sock up

instead of this one: ./tailscale -socket var/run/tailscale/tailscaled.sock up

It works!
