How to install TailScale to QNAP NAS?

I’m trying to set up my home computer and NAS to be accessible when I am on the road. Tailscale looks ideal for that. I installed it on my Windows 10 computer and rebooted but nothing shows when I start the app – no window, no error, no nothing. Yet the tray icon says I am connected.

I found this link to install on my QNAP TS-451D2-4G NAS:

But after installing and running Tailscale from the NAS it gives this error:
“Page not found or the web server is currently unavailable. Please contact the website administrator for help.” The URL is pointing here:
http://192.168.xxx.xx:8080/cgi-bin/undefined

(I substituted xxx’s for actual numbers)

This is where I am stuck. This is a screenshot from my QNAP QTS operating system. When I click the [Open] button nothing happens. And the QNAP does not show up on my
https://login.tailscale.com/admin/welcome
page where my computer is showing.

I don’t think you will see any web page or UI in the QNAP interface. There are some manual steps that need to be run from CLI. Someone on Reddit posting a decent howto here:

I’m having problems connecting, or even pinging, my QNAP NAS even though everything is “green” on the tailscale machines dashboard. Looking for solution…
If you are successful, please let me know.
