Using Tailscale for remote LAN access from TV devices

I got Tailscale working from a couple of my devices, an Android, my laptop, an iPad and my Home Automation server (Rasp Pi). Super easy. But my ultimate application is to allow a remote device (a Roku box) access to my LAN. I could do this by connecting the Roku to a “special” SSID that VPN’d to my LAN - but I’m guessing that wouldn’t support video well. Any ideas for doing this? Might another Raspberry Pi, with WiFi and Tailscale work?

Roku devices don’t have a way to install the Tailscale client natively, so you’ll need to use a subnet router. Subnet routers and traffic relay nodes · Tailscale

A Raspberry Pi works well for this.
