Tailscaled on macOS + Filevault

I have a feeling the answer to this will be no, but I thought I’d check anyway.

On the page about tailscaled support for macOS, it says:

  • tailscaled can run at system boot before any user has logged in (e.g. letting you VNC to your computer after a power outage)

Does this still work when Filevault is enabled?

At poweron, someone would have to type in the password to let the system boot. Tailscale is in the encrypted portion of the filesystem, it cannot start until the MacOS can decrypt and run that part of the filesystem.
