Can only connect to ssh on Oracle Cloud / Oracle Linux

Hi,

I‘m trying tailscale in Oracle Always Free cloud and am having issues connecting to anything but ssh.

On Oracle Linux machine, I can connect to other services (e.g. nginx) only if i stop firewall service, otherwise connection is dropped.

On ubuntu, even disabling ufw doesn‘t help - only ssh goes through.

Any idea what the problem could be?

i also have the free oracle cloud tier.
the VPS has enabled iptables by default which blocks everything but ssh.
